I did it again.......

I did it again. I am so proud.....of myself....

It seems as if everyone has gone flying to "Facebook" and I am still trying to master the picture part of this. Anyway, a few updates and thoughts....

Why does everyone ignore their "in-laws." We are not bad people....

It seems as if the girls posting seem to concentrate on "their" families....I mean not just one person but multiple blogs I read....lets hear it for the other side.

Then, front news...

Drew and Dani are moving to Houston. Drew has an internship there for 3 1/2 months. They will be living with a couple, thanks to a friend of Drew's, in Houston. They are elderly and Drew and Dani will be occupying one of their rooms for a minimal fee. They in turn will get privileges of washer, drying, food, utilities, etc. They will help the couple also. How fun. Go to the beach (gulf) and see the sights. Drew spent the last few months of his mission in Houston so he knows the area. It should be a fun summer for them although I am sure they will miss MOM and home.

Little Griffin is getting so adorable. I cannot believe what a blessing he is to us. I love him so much. We are waiting anxiously for his blessing and sealing hopefully in June or July.

Ryan and Katie are moving back to Las Vegas. I hope for good but we will see. They will be living with us until they can get things together. My new grandson will be arriving just before they move. I am anxious to be a grandma of four. I wear the title proudly.

Alex is almost through school again and I cannot believe he will be a senior next year. Wow. He is going to prom this weekend. Man, they do things differently these days.

We visited Uncle Scott in Salt Lake last weekend when we went to Micheal's wedding (which was wonderful). Friday, he was despondent and he looked so sad. He has had a long journey. Saturday, he looked much better, able to tolerate small amounts of juice and his spirits were better. On Sunday, we visited with Julie. What a horrible road she has had to travel. I think that I am blessed so much. She is such a wonderful person to have endured this ordeal. Our thoughts and prayers are still with them as the battle continues.

My thoughts on myself, if anyone cares, which I do care anyway since not many people read our blog. Life goes fast. The older you get the more you realize to embrace now as you do not know what the future will bring financially, emotionally or physically. Stay close to the Gospel as it never changes. No matter what, you all, I love you.

Well, we got a new camera and are excited to figure it out since it is state of the art and beyond your simple "click and go." Hopefully, we will have some pictures up on here soon. I am enjoying my break from work and getting to a lot of projects that I never had time for. I am also looking for a job, part time since it is no fun having no money. Everyone is doing well.

Well. we just got back from our vacation. We also are done with the wedding, California reception and the house repairs. Grandpa broke his foot while in California and that was a sad complicaton.

We are trying to get Drew and his new wife Dani out the door in a trailer with all of their wedding presents, Grandma and Grandpa and hand me down furniture. They are trying to buy a car today also and get the loan and etc. We have been so busy that we almost forgot school started today for Alex. Weird. The last few months have seemed to run together. I have not even noticed that I do not have a job anymore. What would I do if I did. I would not have made it. I think it is surprising how Heavenly Father knows our situation and blesses us although we always do not realized those blessings right away.

Baylie wants two dogs. Alex just wants one dog. However, they both want animals and both are not getting them. Bay wants two dogs named "Braid" and one "Sucker." This just tickles me.

2007-2008 School Year

Alex has found a new companion this year for school. Long gone are the days of video games, IM, etc. New are Word Perfect, calculator and etc. He finally has reached at his old age of 15 the test to see if he has the ability to do REAL homework. This year is his challenge where in the past he has been able to do minimum work for maximum grades. No longer living the dream world of a teenager. Books, piano, books, and more graph paper........ahhh...... He actually does his homework on the computer and sends it directly to his teachers at school.
This baffles me, and I tell him to save a hard draft and take it in hand just in case he gets in the classroom and for some reason the computer system failed. Totally new technology for me. They do all kinds of graphing and etc, they send directly. Then when he goes to school the next day, it eleminates a paper trail. But, it would worry me......

Newport Beach Injury

This was Drew at Newport Beach after he sprained his ankle running to catch a wave. He hit hard. We thought it was broken and spent the evening in the emergency room at Hoag Hospital waiting for x-rays. After three hours we found out it was a bad sprain, came out with crutches and a ankle boot. Expensive night in Newport Beach.

Alex was completely lost in the sand at the beach. Drew and Alex spent a long time digging the hole and covering Alex up. Now, how old are these guys????
